Amendments to the Constitution of the United States
Amendment II
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.
Kentucky Constitution
BILL OF RIGHTS
That the great and essential principles of liberty and free government may be recognized and established, we declare that:
All men are, by nature, free and equal, and have certain inherent and inalienable rights, among which may be reckoned:
Seventh: The right to bear arms in defense of themselves and of the State, subject to the power of the General Assembly to enact laws to prevent persons from carrying concealed weapons.
It is clear, the founding fathers of our great nation and commonwealth as demonstrated in the text of the historical documents above were convicted that all people of the United States and the Commonwealth of Kentucky have the inalienable right to bear arms and such right shall not be infringed. I unequivocally agree and support this conviction.
