Lyen C. Crews II, son of Lyen Crews Sr. and Faye Daniel is a third generation Woodford County resident. After graduating from Woodford County High School in 1980 he attended the University of Kentucky where he graduated with honors in 1984 with a B.S. Degree in Accounting.
During college, Lyen worked as general warehouse labor for Cowden Manufacturing Company. Upon graduation he was employed for six years by KPMG Peat Marwick, a Certified Public Accounting Firm as an audit manager specializing in non-profit entities and healthcare. While there he obtained his CPA license. Through the ten years that followed, Lyen was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Rescare SCS Management, a holding company for home health agencies, CFO of Fleming County Hospital, CFO of Woodford Memorial Hospital, CFO of Georgetown Community Hospital and CFO of Doctors Hospital (Groves, Texas). Currently, Lyen is Vice-President for Business and Financial Affairs at Midway College where he has just completed his tenth year.

- Chairman, Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities (AIKCU) Business Officers.
- On-Site and Off-Site reviewer of colleges and universities throughout the Southeastern US for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC).
- Twenty years experience in creating, balancing and managing budgets.
- Intimate knowledge of healthcare operations, costs, insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.
- Extensive understanding of Federal and State student financial aid and higher education operations.
- Charter member of Versailles-Woodford County Rotary Club
- Former Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
Lyen is happily married to Pamela Hicks-Crews and has two children: Anthony Pernice, 28 yrs old and Elizabeth Crews, 18 yrs old. He also has one grandchild: Aubrey, 18 months. Lyen and family attend First Christian Church, Versailles.
